The opening scene excactly the same as Die Another Day?

Did anyone else notice this, in Die another days opening scene Pierce Brosnan
is being tortured and is then handed over for a swap with another political prisoner, along the bridge between north and south korea, its the excact same scene!!

Yes, I was thinking the same thing.

In fact, when she was crawling around from window to window outside her apartment, I was reminded of "The Bourne Identity" also.

Well my goodness, think about it. Salt was filmed in 2009 and MI:GP was filmed in 2011 haha.

I thought the same thing the first time i watched this movie!

Prostitute: What the *beep* are you doing?
Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.

reply

Pretty much, except for that horrible Madonna sound that sounded like a broken CD.

I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.

Madonna's "Die Another Day" was the only good thing about the movie Die Another Day.

I'm always dragging that horse around...

No.

It could have been a deliberate homage to Bond. Otherwise, if they wanted to open the film with her held prisoner by enemy spies, they could have easily picked a different country (China perhaps?).

Well, the film did come about because Jolie turned down the opportunity to become a Bond girl stating "I'd rather be him." It seems likely that they deliberately placed her in an exact position that Bond had been in - and one of the most brutal moments to show that they weren't going to pull any punches either. I think it was their way of saying that if he can take abuse like that, so can she.
