The Director's Cut is the only way to go.

Watched what a studio can do to a film. They wanted a less dark Salt and they got their studio film.
Thank God Sony gave Philip Noyce (great director!) the chance to show us fans his version. It is far better and way darker and sinister.
This cut is on the blu ray and to me is the preferred cut from making a decent film to a great film. 8/10.

I liked Orlov's execution better in the Director's Cut. Way way darker.
However the whole voice-over at the end about the "new President" and the suggestion he was part of Orlov's program... meh. It sounds farfetched and after something like that, anyone who ever "lost their whole family as a kid in Russia" would be marked as extremely suspicious so the guy benefiting from the death of the President having had his family die in a plane crash in Russia, would be put in a dark room with people who "really enjoy getting answers".

There has to be a follow up sequel to complete the task of removing the remaining members.

I know! I've been waiting patiently, even though the chances seem slim. I actually think this to be an excellent action/spy thriller and found the premise for the sequel very promising. I hope that Angie is able to come to an agreement with the studio.
