Cody the adult

I enjoyed watching this movie and how the characters faced and dealt with each challenge along the way. I realize that the movie is purely fictional however, it would be very interesting to meet Cody as an adult if that was at all possible. His father, Roy wasn't in any part of his young life and Jeanne, his mother had just handed over her parental responsibilities to the care of Zach and Shaun. I wonder how the abandonment issues would have affected his life?

He might have abandonment issues but since he has Zach and Shaun I think he'll do fine. Someone else would probably be able to answer better than me. Oh and Cody's father's name is Alan not Roy.

Kill all sons of bitches. That's my official instructions.

reply

Nope. It's Roy. Alan is her current boyfriend, but not Codys father.

I think that's a good question.

My guess would be that because Zach was always the main care giver in his life and he thought of him as a father already, Cody probably had a better transition and ability to overcome such abandonment issues than another child might.

Still, he cared about his mother and she left him. That's always going to be a hard one to get over but at least he had two loving fathers to help him do that. And because of this and the fact he never really knew his father, I think the Daddy abandonment issues would probably be lesser than the Mommy ones.

In the end though, I think he was probably fine and grew up to be a great guy, just like the men who raised him and served as his role models. :-)
