Secondly, it's not even Jesus' real birthday, it was originally a popular pagan holiday that Christian's attempted to transform into a celebration of Jesus' birth. They were only partially successful, as evidenced by the widespread love and acceptance of Christmas by secular people all over the Western World.
You don't even get it. Yeah everybody knows that Dec.25th isn't his real birthday. Christmas has been celebrated in this country to honor Jesus birth so why are liberals like yourself wanting to change that.

However it is no longer tenable for most people to believe that there are concrete concepts like sin and redemption and that there was one particular man who walked the earth through whom we can get to a lovely place called heaven and if we don't believe then we burn in hell. I love the Bible and I got my degree in both Biblical Studies and Religious Studies, but if you take the time to learn about the facts and history of Christianity instead of merely **believing** in what gives you comfort then you learn that the modern Christian conception of Jesus was a long process and that certain beliefs were formed hundreds of years after Jesus' death for very practical reasons.
As a society we are moving away from the faith based BS that we have been fed for hundreds of years and moving toward a more rational way of perceiving the world. And BTW, I do believe in God. Strongly.
The OP is crazy, but the writer of this film is a far left liberal and a has no talent at all, so it makes you wonder how she ever got something made. She's worked on many other projects that ALL fell through. So in liberal Hollywood, she's made a ton of money for proving she has no talent and agenda. I don't think someone should boycott anything, but if the writer wasn't what she is, she'd never even be getting these chances. The rest of us sure wouldn't.

The family said they were liberal pretty close to the beginning, it's not like they were trying to trick you into caring about the environment or somehow mislead you into thinking they were conservative. Can you not enjoy a movie if there are liberal characters? Were you expecting some deep meaning, to be rejuvenated with the power of Christ with this made for TV movie? The family is clearly celebrating Christmas, even if the title (which mislead me into thinking this would be an non-christian friendly movie, might I add) suggests it's simply a "holiday" movie. Of all the things to be upset enough to post about. Geez.

Lay off the Fox News Hairy. Of all the things to complain about in the movie and you pick those two things? "Christmas in Handcuffs" doesn't exactly have the same ring to it as "Holiday in Handcuffs" does. I'm sure they went with "Holiday" because it just sounds like a better title not because THERE'S A WAR ON CHRISTMAS AND THE MUSLIM ATHEIST SOCIALIST NAZIS ARE CUMMIN 2 GET US. shareWell “Christmas in Handcuffs” doesn’t really sound as good of a title. I thought the character were written to show a typical dysfunctional family. Trudy was the liberal, the Dad was conservative, and David (Mario Lopez) hinted he was more conservative as well.
