'Good luck'

What do you think would have happened if Bryan asked those guys to translate the "good luck" note, and somebody else instead of THE Marco answered? I mean, somebody else said "good luck"... Then Bryan wouldn't have found the Marco he was looking for?

He'd probably have had a backup plan; boring answer but fits with the character

Still, I think he was pretty sure it was Marco already; he was just looking to confirm it.

Remember, he had spent his entire flight to France studying the voices on that recording. Even though he couldn't understand the language, he was still able to capture the inflections and mannerisms in the voices. So it's perfectly reasonable to think that, once he had them all in the same room, he was able to pick out Marco.

Yes, Marko was the only one in the room who hadn't spoken. That's why he asked him to do the translation

I guess he observed the way they interacted and concluded he was the head thug. The others kept covering for him.

It seemed he was testing them to find Marco, he asked the one guy how do you say Sugar in your language, then he asked Marco to translate the note after weeding out the others who had the tattoo.

I took it as he already knew it was him, but had him read the note so when Bryan said he spoke to him 2 days ago, the guy would know exactly who Bryan was.
