Who do you think is the best and worst guest stars in the show?

I watched Chuck with all the enthusiasm possible in the viewing of a TV show. This show is different. May be because the majority of us are like Chuck before the Intersect and dream about becoming Chuck with the Intersect.

Anyways, coming back to the topic, I notice that there have been so many guest appearances of TV and movie related celebrities in the show like Brandon Routh, Arnold Vosloo, Scott Bakula, Jordana Brewster, Timothy Dalton, Linda Hamilton etc. But to me, the most outstanding performance was delivered by Scott Bakula as the father of Chuck and Timothy Dalton as the arch-villain. As a villain, Timothy Dalton looked much real, although he was acting, and his face expressions were so above-the-charts - I have no doubt - any other actor in the show could match it. The worst actress was Linda Hamilton who looked like never really wanted to be in the show. Her, being the mother of Bartowskis, was the worst choice for my taste.

Timothy Dalton and Brandon Routh immediately come to mind as two of the best, no question.

Best: Timothy Dalton (Alexi Volkoff / Hartley Winterbottom)
Worst: Morgan Fairchild and Bruce Boxleitner (Honey & Woody Woodcomb)

However, my favorite was Tony Hale (Emmett Milbarge). His character was a lot of fun even though he was supposed to be the douchebag boss.

I forgot about Tony Hale. He was hilarious on this.

Then again, he's great in pretty much everything.

i soo agree with you on Linda Hamilton. i did NOT like her as his mom.

i didn't like Brandon Routh either. he seemed wooden, emotionless.

Best: Timothy Dalton. He just steals every scene!

Worst: Bruce Boxleitner and Summer Glau - NOT because I think they acted badly, but because I think they could've been used so much more. With Chuck being such a Tron fan, to have Tron himself in there (not to mention B5) and not do anything more interesting than Awesome's dad was a terrible waste. And Summer Glau obviously has the Firefly connection, which could've been played on (in the same way as when the other Firefly cast guest star on Castle!). So they were the worst, but only because they should've had much better parts. :-)

I totally loved Scott Bakula, Timothy Dalton and Matt Bomer on the show. I agree about Linda Hamilton as the mother. While she sort of slightly resembled Ellie looks-wise and she was able to pull off the cold-hearted spy part well, her mothering lacked warmth and honestly of the two parents who had to die in the show, I was pulling that Orion would return alive and that she was the one that died (if they had to have one die). I also liked Cheryl Ladd as Sarah's mother. She was totally believable as her mother and had the warmth you would expect.

I liked Brandon Routh and the girl that played Hannah next on my list. Jordan's did well as Jill, but I had a hard time liking Jill period because of the great way they told their story.

Another guest star that was great in her role was Nicole Richie. Boy was she annoying but perfect in her role. I always enjoy Ben Savage as well. It was fun seeing his character look up to Chuck.

Honestly, the casting director deserves kudos for the guest stars. They did a great job in casting!
