Was Sarah Lancaster TOO Good at Portraying Chuck's Sister?

I was just thinking about this while re-watching the series. For two seasons and change, I just thought of Ellie as Chuck's sister without ever thinking she's just as hot as Sarah. The thought never crossed my mind until they started dressing her in hotter clothes. Chuck vs. the Beard was the one I remember when they had her in the bikini top and Daisy Duke shorts. And I was, like, oh right! She's hot, too!

Was I the only one to have stupidly ignored how hot Sarah Lancaster is?

i always thought she was beautiful....and i enjoyed her as Chuck's sister

i did really like how she nailed Shaw that was so good to watch....*giggles*

Oh, I totally enjoyed that. I also liked how Devon and she wanted to go on a 'mission' to spice up married life. And of course, that was a gutsy move crashing the car to knock out Sarah in the finale.

i always thought that the "offer" she and Devon received was actually from the CIA...so they could not only be together but she could work on the mind/brain for a new Intersect.

i know that Sarah wanted her memories back, so maybe Ellie could help with that too....

Always thought she was hot. Don't think it was the fact she played Chucks Sister that covered it up, but that she was usually in the hospital scrubs. That and the fact that her scenes were usually including captain awesome who they sexualized to be equal opportunity to balance out Sarah, so he was usually portrayed as the "Sexy" scenery in their scenes.

Sarah always got the sexy outfits. Even the weinerlicious uniform was sexy. Anna got a sexy version of the Buy More uniform. Ellie got scrubs.

To Love and win is the best thing. To Love and lose, the next best.

Actually she got sexy outfits in the first season, particularly in 'vs the Sandworm'. I'd say she certainly holds her own next to Yvonne Strahotski:

No, you aren't the only one :D Like you, I always looked at her as Chuck's big sister, and she was in that strong relationship,later also marriage with capt. Awesome.. So never got from her those ''sexy vibes'' like one can get from Sarah while watching her with Chuck or some other love interest. Interesting, this never crossed my mind, till u didn't mentioned it here.

I'm just watching the seriess through on Netflix now - not entirely sure why I didn't get into it when it originally aired. But I really liked Sarah Lancaster in What About Brian (2006) so I came into it already thinking that Lancaster is one of the most beautiful actresses. I'm enjoying the show, but I wouldn't really rank it that high on my list - but quite frankly, it's worth it just to watch Lancaster & Yvonne Strahovski...those two are simply stunning. I love their characters as well - the come across as such strong, caring women. But man are they gorgeous.

Oh and obviously taste is subjective, but Ellie in scrubs only made her look hotter to me.
