No 67 on The Times' Top 100 Films of the Noughties
My girlfriend and I are watching through all the top 100 films of the last decade (from The Times) and this was at number 67.
I was looking forward to watching this beforehand given the subject matter (I love crime films) but I just didn't enjoy it. There was no real development behind the characters, which made it a very disjointed watch, and there were long periods with very little happening. I did kind of enjoy it by the end when the stories were resolving but it seemed like a missed opportunity to make a great film to me. Such a contrast with City of God (which is next on the list) which is a great film!
