This movie is not realistic either

I have often seen it said on this board that this movie is great because it's realistic.

But it's not realistic.

Just look at the poster, does that look realistic to you, I didn't think so:

That cokehead thug and his boyfriend shooting uzis into the lake in their underwear is not realistic either. Such things never happen in real life. The director must have been living out his homoerotic fantasies or something, but whatever the case may be, he certainly didn't put that in the movie because it was 'realistic.'

This movie was based on a "nonfiction novel" which was embraced by an Italy that recognized it. The movie was similarly received. Focusing on the scene you chose, maybe 1% of the film, is what they call projection.

By the way, that poster is called an allegory, you laughable dumbbell.

To the original poster: Sorry but, you are wrong. Watch the special features on the dvd.

-The director states that many locals were present to get thoughts and reactions from as they had experience of what was realistic and what was not. The reaction was positive.

-Also, there were a few individuals that were used during the film that were involved with criminal activity on some level.

- In addition, as you hopefully know, the whole script was based off of real life events, groups, people in Naples.

So in conclusion, don't be an idiot.
