Comparing the book and the film
While reading the book I did not have the impression that everything and everybody was so poor. The bosses, at least, were supposed to be filthy rich. But in the movie, even that sick boss (that kept saying "euro") seemed to live in a humble place. Did the movie focus on a particularly poor area? Does the Camorra rule also developed areas? Downtown Naples, for example?
In the book, we learn that the author's father, who worked as a doctor in an ambulance, was beaten heavily for saving the life of someone shot by camorrists. Did that happen in a big slum-like are as in the movie? Could that happen anywhere in Campania?
Thanks
