Why did they cancel this?

I've been counting down the days until summer so I could see what happened next. I LOVED this show! What is going on with those execs?

It was canceled because they were getting heat from their conservative viewers for airing a controversial show. Apparently violence on CBS' numerous crime shows is perfectly acceptable, but a tv show about Swingers is crossing the line.

This is what I was trying to say last year. First it got bumped to the summer because of the writers strike. Then midway through, it was moved to Friday nights where yet another crime show on the Crime Broadcasting System took its place. And the excuse was of course, ratings. Ironically, the same thing has happened with the show Harper's Island, which is supposed to have a character die in each episode. And it originally aired in the same Thursday night at 10pm time slot.

And if that weren't enough, the entire one and only season aired in a marathon, virtually unannounced on Bravo between all of their Real Housewives shows.

I'm open! There's just nothing in there!

Its really sad they did cancel this show. There was alot of stories left to tell. First and only cbs show I stopped everything to watch. So happy to have dvds but would have loved more seasons. Just found Moonlight show now its canceled too. Cbs is clueless about good shows!!!!

Is there a petition to CBS for this show? It needs to come back! I actually tuned in to CBS to watch it!

I didn't get a chance to catch the show while it was on, unfortunately, but I just finished watching the entire 1st season on DVD. I watched all 13 episodes since yesterday. I was HOOKED and couldn't stop watching.

I am now sickened to know that there will be no resolution to the cliffhanger stories that happened in the final episode. I haven't been this let down about a TV show since the ending of the classic 70's sitcom "Soap", which also didn't get a series finale...we were also left hanging about the fates of the characters.

This is SO disappointing that networks do this to viewers...they get us hooked in and then, with no concern for the viewing public, yank the show out from under us with no wrapping up of stories. This is exactly the main reason I hate to watch a new show when it premieres, because this kind of treatment is getting more & more common. Have these executives ever stopped to think that MAYBE one reason people don't watch is that they're afraid to become emotionally invested in a show that might be taken from them? Why bother getting involved if you never get a resolution to the stories and characters?

I only hope that maybe a cable network will pick up this brilliantly written and acted show. This is truly one of the best shows I have watched in years.
