This is nothing like the first one.
Instead of going with a generic,craptastic plot. They should have just went with the original.
Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.
Writers probably wrote a sequel, but they or the studio probably retitled it simply "PROM NIGHT" to cash in on it being the reboot/remake craze.
