Not even worth watching for FREE on cable!!!
>> Scabab: It was extremely cliche and lacked anything memorable, but it certainly doesn't deserve a paltry 3.6.
LMAO! You're kidding, right?
That's the very definition of WHY it deserves a paltry number!
PROM NIGHT was so cliche ridden, badly acted, dumbly written, and horribly directed that when all its elements are put together, the final result is a film so painfully boring that it's actually a cure for insomnia. Watching paint dry would be more exciting than suffering through this turd.
I saw it on TV tonight and I cannot believe how ridiculously incompetent it was. Seriously, you KNOW that a movie is terminally BAD when it's not even worth watching for free on cable. How nobody in the production pipeline ever read the script and said "You know, this doesn't make sense...and this doesn't either...and this REALLY doesn't make sense" (at which point it should have been scrapped or at least heavily rewritten) is a true testament to the lows that basic story editing has fallen in Hollywood.
And given what's on the screen, how this cost $20 million to make is beyond me. I swear, either they hired the most expensive caterer here in town or someone walked off with a few bags of cash.
This is a movie to avoid at all costs. Take a tip from me and save 90 minutes of your life and do something...anything...rather than wasting them on this garbage. PROM NIGHT is so bottom of the barrel and hack-like that its a prime example why IMDB should allow people to give NEGATIVE numbers to a movie!
From ED WOOD...
Is there a script?
No, but there's a poster!
