How large exactly was Donna's house? I mean she was in her house for at least five minutes, screamed "Hello!" and meanwhile Fenton was going throughout the house killing everyone. Shouldn't they have heard each other?

I was thinking this the whole time. How in the world did he kill the dad and kid without the mom hearing? And how did Donna not hear Fenton, and how did he not hear her?! It bothered me so much. Glad I'm not the only one.
