Spot the cliche (spoilers)
So I readily admit I flicked on to this about halfway through, but even in those 45 mins they managed to cram several movie's worth of unscary, overused thriller/horror cliches. Anyone spot any others that I missed?
- Girls falling over for no apparent reason while trying to escape the killer.
- Girl hiding from killer clamps hand over mouth.
- Girl who clamps her hand then find something scary in hiding place and involuntarily makes a sound while the killer is nearby.
- Birds shoot out of nowhere to scare someone.
- There's the always reliable spooky abandoned floor that appears in these movies.
- Someone opens a medicine cabinet with a mirror only for someone to appear in it when they close it!
- Someone is attacked only for it to turn out to be a dream
- Someone comes up with a stupid reason (a shawl!?) to place themselves in peril.
- Killer murders swat team/fireman and escapes using their outfit.
- Person gets into bed with what turns out to be dead body.
- Someone approaches a character, wondering why they're not responding, only for that character to turn out to be dead [N.B. to be fair to this movie, normally in horror movies the dead character is shaken or touched and their head rolls off, so kudos for modifying the absurd cliche ever so slightly by having no gore present whatsoever]
Was there anything remotely interesting about this movie? It felt like it was written by a robot pre-loaded with stock situations and characters.
Easily the worst movie of the year.
