Does anyone think that Ginny should of joined the trio on their adventures starting with this book/film?

shareReading the books, a part of me always wanted Ginny to be a more prominent character. After Harry killed Voldemort, he wore the invisibility cloak and walked past Ginny to find Ron and Hermione. I didn't agree with that choice, but, I didn't write the book.
I always loved her role in the series. Rowling made the choice to focus on the trio, so Ginny was Harry's future wife and Ron's sister and a good friend, but not part of the trio.
In the movie, well, Ginny is just not as prominent a character in the movies as she is in the books, so I think it would have been strange if she were to join them.
The reason given was that Ginny was not of age - she was not yet 17. So she couldn't go with them because she still had the trace. She would have compromised them if she had used any magic. Seems reasonable. How could she go with them and NEVER USE magic? Or really, what would be the point? She was really, really good at magic, so you would want her help.
