Just so you know, i've read the books and seen these films loads of times except only seen the last two once each.
One thing thag confuses me is how the hell does harry gain possession of the piece of mirror?!
It's not explained at all in the movie but i can't remember how it's explained in the book...

In the book he cut himself on the mirror while cleaning out his trunk and packed it to take with him. Iirc.

This bothered me, too. Harry receives the mirror from Sirus (in Order of the Phoenix, I think). It's meant to be a means for them to communicate (Sirus has one, too) After Sirus' death, he finds it broken in his trunk (he never really used it because he didn't want to encourage a stir-crazy Sirus to leave his house and get captured). Anyway, Aberforth ends up with it (probably given to him by Albus) so he can look after Harry. Harry keeps seeing Aberforth's face, and seeing what looks like Albus (to him). When he asks for help, Abrforth sends Dobby.
