"Ille qui nos omnes servabit"
I read on tv.com, Fuller is thinking of turning PD into a Broadway musical. Not excited...
shareI wouldn't mind a musical. I would rather have a mini series though.
shareI'd like to see a third season. Just to tie it all up like Fuller planned.
If they can bring back a show like "Dallas" from the dead, they surely could use some of Ned's magic to do the same for this show.
Considering that this show have quite a few fans the ABC would not even have to risk that much by giving us a third season, but rather giving new viewers the opportunity to get to know the show.

He's been saying that for years. The comic never materialized. I'm sure he's being sincere, but he's busy now and he was musing about a mini series on Starz less than a year ago. And now a broadway musical? All this back and forth is a bit much and endlessly disappointing because nothing is actually materializing.
I don't blame him. TV is the hardest graveyard to dig out of. But I know by now not to expect anything.
As for it actually coming back as a musical, I doubt it. It sounds like the interviewer just asked if it COULD come back as a musical and Fuller just obfuscated. From his response it sounds like it actually won't be a musical.
The comic has been written and largely drawn. The problem is that the publisher, the DC imprint Wildstorm, was closed. The last I heard he was negotiating to have it placed on a new label and put on their production schedule. I wouldn't be surprised if Boom! or IDW were to pick it up.
Fuller has never said that it was going to be a Broadway musical. That was speculation that was put to him by Mike Ausiello. It was more like:
Ausiello: What about a musical?
Fuller: Why not?
It wasn't like he was announcing that it was going to be a musical. Ausiello mentioned it because of the number of musical stars on the show. I think not just Kristin Chenoweth but both of the sisters (the "Aunts") won Tony's for musicals.
I don't think that a musical is Fuller's first choice.
Yeah exactly, it was the interviewer going a bit far with...nothing. In general you just can't trust Ausiello.
I'd already read all that about the comic and the publisher, I just meant that it was one of many reasons I have zero expectations for anything in the future. But boy do I hope that comic sees the light of day...
Uh, just because "nothing is actually materializing" that doesn't mean it never will. The show's got a big cult following and they're still stocking DVDs at Walmart (a store which only keeps titles for about two weeks unless they're steady sellers), so never say never. Took a few years to get "Serenity" made after "Firefly" was canceled, and since he's still pushing, it indicates Fuller is just as intent on getting his story resolved as Whedon was. Since the show wasn't a bonafide hit (thanks in large part to the writer's strike), it's a tough sell, but I surmise it'll happen one of these days in some form or another. Determination is key.
shareI really really really hope this show comes back!
I found this list: http://thecelebritycafe.com/feature/2012/11/top-10-cancelled-tv-shows-videos and I was so glad to see where they ranked Pushing Daisies.
If I ever win the lottery I'll finance a third season of "Pushing Daisies".
