Did they know before they started making the final episode that it would be the series finale? Because to me it looks like they just kinda threw some stuff together in the last few minutes to kinda bring things to a close.
shareI read about all of this but i like to get lost in the show and not the business of it, but iirc, there was a writers' strike at the time and they didn't know if it was coming back. So the last ep was indeed cobbled together. I'll go get my Kristin Chenoweth book and check for sure, she mentioned at the beginning of the book that she was then waiting to hear if the show was coming back. But she said it in a far more delightful yet sad way than i did. HTH! :)
shareThey found out in November that the show was going to be cancelled. There was a long hiatus between episodes where they actually aired internationally before domestically. They then rushed the last few episodes on TV and created a quick synopsis at the end to tie up all of the loose ends that Fuller had created throughout the last season.
