This show is much better than Chuck and Firefly...

yet THOSE shows get to live on in various forms? Don't get me wrong; they're pretty good, but they really don't hold a candle to Pushing Daisies. PD should at least have a higher imdb rating than Firefly...

Admittedly, I wasn't even fully charmed by the first season. It took the third episode of the second season before I fell head over heels in love; this show just makes you smile so much! I literally rolled around on the ground like a dog when I watched it! it's really frustrating that shows that aren't as good had more passionate fan bases that actually changed things.

Agree on Chuck after the first season.

Disagree on Firefly.

It's hard to compare daisies with those shows due to the nature of them. They are completely different. PD is a very good show though.

Pushing Daisies is my all time favorite! It was love at first sight with me. I really do wish they had fans like Firefly. I need a follow up series or a movie (I even settle for just the comic, if it weren't for those villians at WB). But a good one, DLM got a movie, but it was so crappy.

I could live in the sea.I'd make friends with a whale,and we'd live in a sunken pirate ship.

The DLM movie was not as good as the show but they were severely limited when Rube and Daisy (the original actress) did not return. If they had been there I believe the movie would have been completely different. As it was it was so so but I liked the ending when George got promoted with the thousands of post it notes raining down on her.

Agreed; the DLM movie left you wanting more...in the form of the real Daisy. I wouldn't have minded Rube not being there because the different team head was an interesting plot line but it got way out of hand.

And to the OP: I haven't seen Chuck so I can't honestly say if it's much better but I disagree with Firefly. Comparing PD with Firefly is hard because they're such different shows. I love both equally but I have to be in different moods to watch them.
But I completely agree that this needs a movie! Firefly got one, DLM got one, so why not PD??

To be fair you can only compare 2 seasons of chuck. We have no idea how the quality of the show may have been affected had a season 3 come about. Chuck had that problem. Dying and coming back.. messed with the writing staff.. the quality was not as consistent after season 2.

As for firefly.. no idea how that would have went.. but a very rough tv to movie transition.. alot of the good nature and humor felt sucked out.. but two hours is alot to cram into 1 movie as opposed to several episodes..

Disagree with Chuck, but agree with Firefly (I never understood the appeal...it was good, but it wasn't fantastic to me. Just my opinion though). I just finished this series for the first time the other day, and I was sad when it was over. I would've liked something...comic book??? Or even an interview or a special feature where Bryan Fuller tells what would've happened with some unresolved storyline.

Together we were gonna travel the globe, from Alberta to Ontario.

I agree it was better than Chuck and Firefly, though these are very different shows, hence hard to compare.

I can't comment on the quality being better or poorer than Chuck or firefly because I have seen neither however with regards to fanbases I don't think you can say we didn't try, petitions, sending packets of daisies and pies to the studio, we fought but ended up not winning, we still gave it a fair shot.

Pushing Daisies and The Walking Dead? What an odd comparison of two opposite things. Yes, apart from the apparent connection that both have which is dead people. But come on... Actually now more than ever I wish Pushing Daisies was still alive. The intelligent, articulate and upbeat alive-agains of Pushing Daisies would make an excellent contrast with the stupid, growling, and deadly walkers from The Walking Dead. Like two opposite sides of the same coin.

I agree with you Pushing Daisies is just so good!
I don't know why lists like this one: http://thecelebritycafe.com/feature/2012/11/top-10-cancelled-tv-shows-videos call Firefly number 1 on their top ten TV shows that were cancelled list.
Pushing Daisies was shot so beautifully, the colors and costumes are so vibrant and warm.
All of the characters are so great too!

I agree with you on the Chuck front. Season 1 and 2 were good, but beyond that the show was never as good. When it comes to Firefly however, I have to disagree. Keep in mind that Pushing Daisies was able to have a second season and Firefly was cancelled before they even fished its first. I also don’t think it is fair to compare the two. Each show has its own unique qualities that make them great.

Also, keep in mind that Dallas has come back after being off the air for a very long time.

Chuck is tied with Pushing Daisies... Firefly was fun too but I love the other two a bit more.
