Anyone know the meaning behind the name of the show?

'Pushing Daisies' is a euphemism for being dead, being buried
-There's also: dirt nap, the big sleep, six feet under, kicked the bucket, bought the farm -there are hundreds of them

Usually it is 'Pushing Up the Daisies', something you can only do from under ground. Of the metaphores for Death it was no doubt picked because it is the cutest (and most in contrast) with the images of death much like the the show's up-beat and quirky nature is in stark contrast to what is usually happening on the show.
