Ned's brothers

I know people can age much faster in TV Land, but I've always been confused about the age of Ned's brothers. Doesn't seem like there was enough time between when his mom died and he was dropped off at boarding school and the Halloween when he went to his dad's new house and saw him with the new wife and twins...who looked 3-4 years old. Anyone have an explanation, or should I just get used to not knowing?

I was confused about that too. When I watched the episode where his little brothers were shown, I assumed they were his stepbrothers. And that was my assumption until they later confirmed that the boys were, in fact, his half brothers. I know this is the kind of show where you already have to suspend your disbelief, but since they are very specific about the age of these characters, right down to the amount of seconds they've been alive, it doesn't seem like the brothers' age was well thought out.

Would/could/should have or would/could/should've... Not would/could/should of.

I don't remember it ever being mentioned, but maybe his parents were divorced and his dad remarried a few years before his mother died. Hmmmm.

reply

I suppose that's possible but little Ned seemed genuinely surprised and disappointed when he was under the sheet, watching his dad with his new family. If this wasn't a new thing, Ned shouldn't have been as surpised as he was shown.

Maybe his father had been having an affair with the boys' mother whilst Ned's mother was still alive? He was able to move on quickly enough after her death amd abandoned Ned at boarding school without a thought or emotion, so I think we can safely say that he wasn't above committing adultery.

I can't help you with your question, sorry, but I have one of my own.

After touching the people in the morgue, reviving them, why did the Pie Man touch them again, permanently killing them? Except in the cases of extreme mutilation, why didn't he just walk away and let them live? Am I missing something here?
