BBC talk shows more entertaining then US

I am american and was turned on to this show last year by a family member who is a loyal follower from the beginning. She kept telling me to watch it and I was just to busy to check it out. I barely had time to watch the shows I normally watched. But one evening I caught one and fell in love. I ended up watching all of the shows on demand and then hit up you tube to see the older ones. It was so refreshing to see how much the celebrities seemed to enjoy being there. They were relaxed, and seemed to just be themselves. He has that way of just being goofy and real with them and let's them let loose, say and do what they want to. I am sure with some of them the drinking does help. Come on, how many US talk shows allow that. None! I saw some of the stuffiest American actors loosen up and have fun on this show! It's good to see that.. So with that I recommend anyone who has not seen it before check it out! It's a blast and I look forward to seeing them every time .

We're going through a late-night talk show crisis in the US these days, what with Leno out, and NBC turning the whole thing over to SNL dweebs, and everyone else sort of wearing out their gimmicks. I look so forward to Saturday nights and Graham Norton, which is a recent discovery for me, too. My first exposure to him was a clip on You Tube of Daniel Radcliffe reciting Tom Lehrer's listing of the chemical elements, and all I could think was, they'd NEVER let him do that on an American talk show! Some time later, my cable provider gave us BBC America, and I've been Nortonizing ever since!

Here's the clip with Daniel Radcliffe:

And for those who haven't had the pleasure of listening to what Radcliffe is enthusing about, here you are:
