Underperforming or flop?
Thoughts?
shareRight now it's only about $5 million short of being considered a box office success. I do not know what the studio was expecting the movie to make at the box office.

It's only a few million from doubling its budget...so underperformed, yes, but I wouldn't say flop. Also, it'll likely have strong dvd/bluray sales and rentals.
