Horrible

Besides being a boring and laughable movie (I sat through the entire thing because my husband is a Tarzan fan) the casting was sooooooo wrong. Partically, JANE...omg, I felt like I was watching some B rated version of Alice in Wonderland or something. The script was simple and stupid and that was how her delivery was. Just a total waste of time.

I agree with you regarding Margot Robbie as Jane. I like her, but she was wrong for this role.

This movie was so bad it was embarrassing. It felt like a TV movie or straight-to-video sequel. I feel the need to mention those god awful scenes between Jane and the villain (whose name I can't remember). They were written by somebody who seems to have no idea how dialogue works or how to develop characters.

That dinner scene, for example; it's like they wrote down a dozen or so random things for the villain to say and had Jane make a pointless quip to insult him, then shot them all in order and added them to the final movie with some very sloppy editing. All the while failing to realize they robbed the villain of any and all menace he might have otherwise possessed.

She actually made fun of him possibly being raped by his priest, using a sarcastic tone to do so! What the hell were they thinking? With one line they made Jane look like an insensitive sociopath and their villain an unfortunate victim of circumstance. I can't believe this film didn't get laughed out of theaters. Worst film I've seen in quite some time.
