I'm curious as to whether or not Almodovar or Spain is considering to send Broken Embraces as its entry for Best Picture. It's been getting great praise, and it's up for a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film, so I think that some recognition would be sufficed.
It finally hits Philly theaters on Friday, and I can't wait!

OMG!! I Can't believe they didn't choose this masterpiece!
But the point is to send a movie that could be watched in the whole world after being sent to Oscars. Almodovar's films don't need this publicity fortunately, so I think it is not bad idea to send other director's work, even if they finally dont get nominated, at least they tried.
Anyway, Almodovar can get to be nominated in other categories as it happened past years (best actress, best director, best original script)
