I'd love to see a full length version!

Watch "Women on the verge of a nervous break down" as it is a scene taken from that film (Different actors of course as it was made in 1989 ). I highly recommend it. It is one of Antonio Banderas and Almodovar's first films.

me too! the vampire film should be amazing with a almodovar touch.
On "Women on the verge of a breakdown", there are 3 actresses that are also playing in "Broken embraces".

Rossy de Palma:
WOTVOAB > the girl who got asleep by drugs
Broken embraces > the woman who push Pina (Penelope cruz) by the stairs.

Kiti Manver:
WOTVOAB > The advocat (the man's lover)
Broken embraces > whore's boss

Chus Lampreave:
WOTVOAB > doorwoman, porter
Broken embraces > doorwoman too! ("you say love, i say sex!!")

I think it's amusing that we are expected to see a scene from an earlier Almodovar movie and be awed by Mateo's genius. It doesn't work in the context of the film AT ALL because the scene with the two women looks awful.

I wouldn't say awful (that's a personal opinion) but maybe not as funny as it was Women On the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. So the comparison is hurting a little to the film itself. At the end of the film, Judith cries and says that the film is wonderful. I think that the scene should have centered more on Lena and her talent, not on that councillor saying rude things, hehe, cause, as it was the scene, I dont understand that tears from Judith.

I think Judit's tears fall because she sees how great the film would have been, had she not conspired to butcher it
