Who tore up the photos
Who tore up the photos that were in the hotel/motel after the car wreck and which appeared periodically throughout the movie? Six of us who saw the movie can't figure it out.
shareI just saw the film and was under the impression that Ernesto's obsession led him to snooping through Mateo's place, after he discovered where they were, while he was in the hospital to see what Lena did behind his back and tore up the photos.
shareI think it may have been Judit who did this. I'm suspicious that she is the one who killed Lena and blinded Mateo. Did anyone else wonder this? I would have to see it again to try and find the black SUV somewhere, but it's never really resolved whether or not Ernesto killed her. She says she can hide things, but she can't make up anything, so it's possible she has covered up the murder.

A journalist explained that the actor playing Mateo explained we should supose that Ernesto was there, after the accident, taking Lena's corpse to Spain for a burial, and of course, taking her personal objects from the appartment (finding the pictures on the wall, and so on).
And it was an accident, but of course, the way Almodovar tells it is open to more than one explanations.
