Was that supposed to be some kind of Christmas special?

The trip to the beach was the last episode broadcast right? I'm watching it on demand and I get the distinct feeling I'm missing an episode.

It wasn't a Christmas special, it just happened to be shown on Christmas day! :-)

January 1st is the last ever episode of Gavin & Stacey which also isn't a special for Christmas!!
