Hi,

does anyone know what the whole fishing trip incident is about?

James Corden said on Radio 1 that even him and Ruth Jones don't even know what happened on that trip yet.

Knowing James and Ruth, it's going to be something so simple that the wonderful Bryn has blown completely out of control. Of course, it was "legal in Wales".

I hope it remains a mystery .. it is much better if nobody ever knows.

I agree.

I love the fact you never find out exactly what happened.

Of course, we're meant to assume they made man-love, but I love the air of mystery.

Maybe we will find out in the christmas special!?

I think that is a pretty poor assumption but where most of the comedy is generated.

The whole thing about Bryn being a closet homosexual and having been with Jason is just too obvious - although that's what the auidence are being led to believe. That's why I think it will be something more akin to the legal fishing limits or some other such innocent nonsense.

That said if it is something dark and life changing I suspect I shan't be dissapointed.

I think Bryn is obviously homosexual but is in the closet, I think he is uncomfortable around Jason who is openly gay. I love the whole mystery of the "incident" I think it is something so simple though like Jason catching Bryn masterbating or something

i never thought of it as them doing anything physical together, because they Are family, ya bunch of pervs. Ill bet Bryn is closeted and admitted to maybe experimenting or something to Jason on the trip. or, maybe Bryn was caught with a guy in some way - not like all sexual, but ya know?

it bugs me to not know, but thats just 'cos i like to know everything when i watch tv shows, movies, plays, etc.

hope they do reveal it.

It's got to be catching a small fish and keeping it. Definitely, something innocent that Bryn has blown out of proportion.

If Pringles motto is "Once You Pop You Can't Stop" Why do they have a re-sealable lid?!

This whole fishing trip thing annoys me

For a starter Coaches Dave is meant to have not told a soul, but at Gwn's party Bryn says he has heard at least 3 people mention fishing trip and then Door mentions "this fishing trip, where will it end eh Bryn". Bryn says he is in peices 6 months after the event playing crazy golf on barry island in the rain which hid his tears so its got to be something major. I don't think no matter how gay Bryn is he would go with his nephew which is possibility a. Possibility b is something minor which just doesn't tie up with all the hints and where the writers are trying to lead us. Either way its going to be a big let down.

bryn really makes the show with his naivete. whatever the story is behind the fishing trip is...i am sure MOST of us will not be dissappointed.

I doubt it was anything sexual between the two, that would be plain disgusting and TOTALLY out of character.

Zydrate comes in a little glass vial, and the Zydrate goes into the gun like a battery....

I agree, nothing sexual. they ARE family.

also, I doubt Bryn is closet-homosexual. the whole atmosphere of Bary island is totaly open and accepting, why would he hide it? he is just in touch with his feminine side, showing emotions and child-like innocent curiousity.

I do hope the fishing incident is something very trivial, blown out of propotion - now, that would fit with Bryn's character!

They all know *something* happened, but they don't know what. When Jason says he hasn't told anyone, he means the *details*.

James Corden and Ruth Jones said all along they never knew what it was, but it involved soup, which is why at one point Dave coaches says "enjoy your soup" then gives Bryn and Jason a weird look.

I'm glad they never said what it was, it just wouldn't have lived up to everyone's expectations!
