Question about Nessa

I might be being thick but I really don't get what Nessa means when she talks about her sling??? Help me someone.

Weasel, that's what I thought too, at first, but then one time Gwen had it in her bag, carrying it for Nessa. ANd they referred to it when they were discussing Nessa's chronic shoulder pain.

Nothing too strange, as it turns out.
She has a problem with her right shoulder...some kind of old injury that acts up now and again, causing her pain. You might recall when she was pregnant that she was exercising it one morning at Pam's breakfast table. When Pam walks into the room, she asks Nessa about the shoulder. I can't recall for certain, but I think the sling is mentioned in that scene.

Also she has a body sling to carry the baby Neil with. She can sling him on her back so her smoke doesn't bother him.

But she talks about her sling in the very first episode, saying she has it in her purse before they leave for London.
