Just watching the final episode again and noticed that in the final scene at the beach, Nessa smiles when Smithy says "What's occurring?" and she says "You're Welsh!".
If you watch any of the other episodes she hardly ever (maybe never?) smiles - not a big moment but I think it's very telling in how she feels about Smithy.
Sorry no big reveal or anything, just thought it was cute!

Yes, I noticed too. I cant recall a smile anywhere in any episode - I agree this occurrence was cute!

Yeah, that was a great moment, especially because there was very little emotion from Nessa throught the whole show. But, at that last episode there was another little smile when they were at the parking lot, and I think that smile was actually what made Smithy start thinking 'what if'...
Also, in season 2 when they were all having breakfast at Gavin's, while Gavin and Stacey were upstares having sex, there was a little smile exchanged between Nessa and Smithy, which was a lovely moment and it made you realize there might be hope for those two :)
Yeah, love how you can pretty much count the number of times Nessa smiles over the course of the entire show.
I always forget that her middle name is Shanessa. That just kills me.
Just watched the last episode of season 2 last night. She smiles after she gives birth and Smithy kisses her on the forehed. Very subtle and really well done. Dave coaches goes in for a kiss and she gives him a tiny peck then slightly backs away. The beginning of the end for Dave coaches methinks.
