Have they ever done one on....
the dogfight with Maverick and Ice Man vs. the Russian MIGs?
shareThat's called "fiction", dude. From a movie!!!
Dogfights! is a series based on historical dogfights, both aerial and water-bound (ship to ship).
Although, I have to admit, that would be kind of cool if they did an analysis of that battle. They could do it along with analyses of Sum of All Fears, the Iron Eagle movies (if they can stop laughing for long enough), and Pearl Harbor. It could be an extra on the season 2 DVD.
shareWhat about the mission where Clint Eastwood steals the Russian Firefox and pilots it back to the US. The man is a true American hero, he needs his hour episode on Dogfights!
shareWhile you're at it, why not do one on the assault on the Death Star in the original Star Wars? CGI re-enactment of special effects...
The Troika of Irrelevancy: bringing off-topic enlightenment to the masses since 2006
That would be cool, but should Star Wars be DQed for not following the laws of physics?
Although, you may have noticed that in the battle of Yavin, Wedge uses a version of the Thatch wave when he shoots that TIE off of Luke's tail. Righteous!
Son, you are trying way too hard to get into this thing. If you cannot keep a logical thought in your mind while posting, I would advise you to sit on your hands while at the computer keyboard. It's people like you who give fans a bad name. If you insist on posting to the forums, at least get your facts straight. If you knew anything about this topic you would remember that any Thatch wave begins with the aggressor (Wedge in this case) approaching the target (TIE in this case) in an inverted position.
