Thank god for that scene. I have to admit I liked this movie but just barely. I found the violence refreshing in the sense that it was an attempt to be realistic and not wash over what these guys did. But it was a bit much so the hilarious look at him taking ecstasy, nervously repeating that it didn't work and then eventually becoming an affectionate raver loving all over everyone gave me a much needed laugh. Ah that brings back good memories.

Aye, is a bit of humour in an otherwise bleak and soiled little film.

Though as 'hard' as Carlton was supposed to be, chewing up a pill like that- without any prior knowledge to how foul ecstasy pills taste- was utterly unrealistic. I'm positive he would have spat it out and said the C word at least twenty times before decking someone.
