Variety reports that Kim Jee-woon ’s next film will be “an idiosyncratic western set on the plains of Manchuria.” With a tentative title of “The Good, the Bad, and the Weird,” it is scheduled to start shooting in the spring of next year, in China, Mongolia, and Russia. The role of “the weird” will go to Song Kang-ho(The Host, Memories of Murder), who previously worked with director Kim six years ago, on The Foul King.
Oh hell, A Tale of Two Sisters changed the genre of horror for me forever!

I finished "The Ful King" twenty minutes ago. (Took me a loooong time to get it. What a disaster! Thanks to ebay.) "A quit family was a very good start. But with "Foul King" Kim Ji woon started to give me one of my favorite movies after another. Three masterpieces, three completely different genres. Great!
Now I saw the first pics of "The Good, the Bad, and the Weird" and I cannot wait any longer. I don't want to become too enthusiastic but I really think that this will be THE movie of this year.
