Why isn't this movie considered part of the 'Horror' genre?...

This movie is not just drama, it is horror too. It's part of both genres. Cause if simple haunted house stories are often considered "horror" because of being creepy, why not this? Not much difference, is there? Some may even argue that this was, in fact, a ghost story. Don't be fooled---this is no basic drama as the website classifies it to be. Alas! If I knew how utterly creepy it was going to be, I probably never would have watched it...or, maybe I might...but, only because I'm very, very fond of Maggie Smith. She was what brought me to this film.

Word to the wise, if you don't like being spooked, stay away from this one! Oh, don't get me wrong. It's not a proper psychological-chiller, not in the strictest sense of the word, but it is haunting. Especially to someone not a fan of the genre. In-short: I'm not a fan of this movie, wish I'd never watched it, didn't like it.

This movie gave me the creepers!! Oh gosh! I doubt if I'll be able to sleep now! (*_*)

I take back what I said about not liking this movie. Cause, it's been awhile, and I find myself not only unable to forget it, but wanting to see it again. Proof that this film is not only haunting, but that it also grows on you.

And, the music at the beginning of the film is terrific! Why is it that dramatic, expiry movies tend to have the best, most serene music?! At least, that's the way it seems to me.
