Granted, I have not viewed every episode but it seems as though at the beginning of the series the four guys and Penny are all supposed to be in their mid-to-late twenties. And of course the show ran for twelve years.
shareI don't think they're exactly all the same age, I would guess Penny is a few years younger than Sheldon and Leonard, for instance, young enough to still believe she can make it as an actress. But I'd guess that the scientist characters ranged from late 20s to early 30s at the beginning of the show, and edged into their thirties as the show ran on (but I don't think any of them officially hit forty as the time in the series doesn't necessarily have to be the same as real time).
I'd guess slightly older than you, because I think it takes a long time to get a PhD in Astrophysics and to establish oneself in the field. I can believe that Sheldon would get a research job right out of school, but in the first episode Leonard came to Cal Tech, and I don't recall him saying anything about being a recent graduate. Which implies that he's old enough to have a PhD and some work experience.

I took comment to mean "I'd guess slightly older than [what] you [guessed]." As in the four guys are a little bit older than their mid to late 20s, based on how long it would have taken for Leonard and Raj to get their PhDs.
Sheldon and Howard might be a little younger, but this is never exactly stated. Penny is in her early 20s when the show begins. Bernadette is probably closer to Penny's age, given that we see her get her PhD during the show.
Well from Young Sheldon, where he's 9 at the start, and in the late 80s, I'd say Sheldon's around 28 at the start.
But, it's worth noting, sitcoms don't tend to be the most proficient at such details. Don't be surprised when little things change, such as birthdays, ages, middle name, living/dead status of a rarely seen and far-flung relative, and so on
I'm sure they're not all the same age. Penny was the only one I remember an explicit age being given for. She was supposed to be twenty-two when the show first started. In the 'Valentine Submergence' episode in season 9 where the kid calls her "ma'am" she comments that Leonard is closer to 40 forty than thirty. So he's at least a few years older than her. That's all I can remember.
