Should there have been English subtitles when the characters were not speaking English? When I saw it, there were none.

R = f(B), where:
R = Reality, B = Belief

I saw it in The Netherlands just now and it had not only Dutch subtitles but also English when other languages were spoken and I don't think they did that for the non-Dutch speakers living here.

Just rented the dvd from Redbox and there were no subtitles in the beginning. Luckily I could turn them on using my dvd player's settings.

No subtitles for me and the scenes without any English therefore made no sense whatsoever, this can't have been purposeful can it?!

Hmmmm puzzler. Bit of a puzzle.
