I was going to rip into you about the atrocities commited by PMCs in Iraq. Good to see you're just kidding. Mercenary contractors have turned out to be more attrocitiy prone in Iraq than state controlled militaries. If you're a US soldier and murder a civilian you might end up on trial for the crime. If you're a mercenary soldier and kill a civilian you will probably get off scott free.

Not completely true: if they get you, and they got so many from
that "dark liquid" company, they put you in Jail with the general
population, not in the more "civilised" military jails.

The "dark liquid" company had to rename because of all the scandals.

I was unaware of any Blackwater/Xe scumbags being prosecuted for their crimes. Or rather, actually being taken into custody.

Like Sayid, I too saw red when I saw the title of your post.

Please excuse me while I make a bit of a round about point.

I watched a recent documentary on the shenanigans of Donald Trump in Scotland "You've Been Trumped", in which the local police force appeared to play a less than impartial role, in particular, harassing independent film makers. Every time the police came on scene, virtually the first word's out of their mouth was "Would you mind turning the camera off"?

If they had asked me, I would have replied, "Why? Are you going to do something illegal"?

At the end of this film, we read that our heroine cannot find similar employment. I don't know how many of you are aware, but it is pretty much a world-wide thing, that even in cases where the govs will applaud you for being a whistleblower, especially when you expose something against the government's interests, they will never employ a whistleblower.

Clearly, these are people who have shown courage and integrity, and on the face of it, are just the sort of people who we need working in gov. The fact that they are then cast aside, leads me to wonder why they cannot be employed by their own gov's. Unless of course, the gov doesn't want them because they are planning on doing something illegal.

well, it's an important great issue, but unfortunately the director lost its artistic tools and turned it into propaganda, with all women shouting and trying to draw the sympathy of the audience without a need to. this movie could have been much better under capable director, but hollywood don't care for such important issues, and capable directors work on super hero movies. the director does have potential but lost it, in writing too.
