It should have gotten a real release!

I know it's useless to complain about the good films not getting wider releases because most people don't have an interest in real human stories, but I'll still say THE WHISTLEBLOWER deserved a bigger release and a little promotion.

There are some flaws with the production design and some goofy camerawork, but this is an important story and one with a strong, heroic female lead that you rarely get in a mainstream movie. I wish that there was room for a film like this amongst the BS "kick ass" women films like the Resident Evil / Underworld or frankly even the Dragon Tattoo films. I like my strong female characters to be of the non male fantasy type.

Does anyone agree?

Any film that does not support the most patriotic, military-worshipping, conservative perspective does not get released in the USA.

You got it, thormn8. You have to get the Pentagon's approval of every last line in the script, or else, you're on your own. Actually, I'm surprised this movie isn't buried much deeper.

I agree......The Whistleblower should have received much more marketing money!!
