I don't know how much of what I discuss below is mentioned in the movie.

A large portion of blame for modern human trafficking lies on U.S and its pervading western neo-liberalism coupled with policies of IMF are what accelerate pure abject poverty in the Republics of former Soviet Union. U.S knew that what would rise from the ashes of Soviet Union collapse would not see democracy and respect for human rights with rising living standard but the opposite. It even backed the very corrupted first administration of post-collapse Russia. What rose from the ashes are the mafia and the criminals taking over, leading to Russia become official mafia state.

Likewise, IMF have also been responsible for the total destruction of Asia's economic, long known as Tiger Economic due to its resilient of economic fluctuation and collapse.

Human trafficking as known today first begun in 1991 with the dissolution of Soviet Union, to be accelerated further with the collapse of Yugoslavia, which Bosnia was part of.

So in essential, you could say that because of U.S push for the dissolution of Soviet Union and its backed IMF (ideology rigidly aimed to that of U.S policies), it has become responsible for the explosion of human trafficking. Scary to know that, isn't it?

Today, human trafficking occurs heavily in Kosovo (Kosovo was the hotbed of Yugoslavia war after Bosnia-and located just south of Serbia or Bosnia). To service U.S army, the only actual foreign soldiers on the soil of Kosovo. The ruling class/leaders of Kosovo government are fully involved in the human trafficking as well as organ trafficking. The president is known to possess his own sex slaves harem. And guess what, Kosovo government and its leaders are fully appointed and backed by U.S government.

Another perspective to understand is the apathy of ruling class all over the world. How else do you think human trafficking could explode on this scale in Europe, Asia and so on? Another perspective to understand is that not only ruling class is apathy, they are also composed of individuals as well as entities: international bankers, banking systems, corporations, and so on. So in essential the character of that ruling class is psychopathy.

Do you really think anyone in u.S government gives a damn? Looks how it gave free pass to Dyncorp (the U.S Military corporation responsible for the scandal as shown in the film).

Maybe, just maybe one day human trafficking will end. But it surely will not end until the ruling class decides it is in their favor to do so.

And by the time then, tens of million of women and girls will have already been raped thousand times each, tortured, and killed (if not physically, then psychologically and spiritually).
