Did the other people... *spoilers*

Did the other people in this movie, other than Rickie, actually exist? JT in particular seemed to be just a split personality of Rickie. JT dies in the end because Rickie has become JT.

There are some little hints that I may be over-thinking:

- It is said that JT and Rickie have known each other their whole lives. Yes I know that is possible, but it could also be hinting at them being the same person.

- JT has a grandmother who apparently doesn't care that he doesn't come home for days at a time / Rickie has a mother who is never home.

- At the end Rickie is shown in a classroom full of students, but then he "wakes up" and he is the only one there. Is that trying to tell us that he was alone the whole time?

I think Joann was real, and possibly the jocks too, but I'm not sure about JT and Wheeler.

Think your looking into it way to much. Lol

..or are you??

I agree that you might be over thinking it. I think since Fight Club we've seen SO MANY movies where one of the main characters didn't really exist that it's easy to think that's the case in a lot of movies.

Someone on here mentioned that the filmmakers themselves explained in an interview that it was all a dream, so maybe your theory isn't so far-fetched at all. Then again, if it were a dream and none of it actually happened, why did they show Joann as the new deadgirl after Rickie woke up? They weren't very clear on this.
