Hunting a woman to make a new sex zombie

How depraved does someone have to become to turn into a "Silence of the Lambs" style killer? In only a week or so?

It seems like a leap of imagination to think the cowardly type of loser portrayed by some of these teens might progress beyond taking unfair advantage of a helpless corpse into creating a corpse by killing a woman.

Fortunately we see they lack the skills to handle real-life people who have a brain of their own. Only if they can lure someone into their labyrinth and gag and bind her do they become dominant.

Do you think it is a logical plot development for them to go beyond necrophilia into murder?

JT was ready to rape her and keep her as a sex slave before he even knew she was a Zombie. How exactly is it a big leap to go from that to murder?

Conform or be cast out

Peer pressure is a powerful thing. All you need is a leader type (JT) to tell you what to do, and more often than not, the subordinates obey. These subordinates aren't necessarily evil themselves, just weaker-willed in the face of authority. I remember seeing a documentary hosted by Eli Roth on how seemingly good people can wind up doing depraved things and how easily it can escalate, which helps to explain how Nazi soldiers who were otherwise perfectly normal guys were able to commit atrocities simply because they were following orders. It kind of applies here as well, I think. In Rickie's case, he may not have chosen to participate, but he did nothing to stop it. He didn't have the guts to stand up to JT. But he's just as bad anyway because of what he did to Joann in the end.

I think the whole raping the zombie and keeping her as a sex-slave thing gave them experience and confidence to take on bigger risks. It makes sense. I would have done the same.

yikes.

Problem?

How can murder be "beyond necrophilia"? In order for necrophilia to occur, the subject being violated must be dead. If TE subject being violated is dead, there can be no proceeding murder. Do you understand what I am saying?

reply

Necrophilia doesn't not necessitate murder, only a deceased person.

People die from other causes than murder.

I'm well aware of that and wasn't trying to argue otherwise. To me, in the large scheme of things, murder AND death by natural cause is the exact same thing because the end result is the same - death. My point is, murder is not "above" necrophilia. I honestly don't even think their can be a heirarchy system with things like this. They are all essentially on the same deranged and subversive level.
