Funnier than Borat

Borat was funny but Bruno had me laughing out loud a lot, like in stitches almost, where as Borat I just laughed.

Ya at first I didn't think it was funnier than Borat, but after a second or third view- this is one of the most extreme movies ever! Like the comedy is all very offensive/ makes me laugh! I first saw this with my parents, my mum left when he put a wine bottle up his bf's butt

I agree. Saw this at the theater and there was some uncomfortable laughter at first, then people just sat back and started laughing out loud at how ridiculous it was.

Wow, I could not disagree more. I loved Borat but I turned this off after ten minutes of boredom.

But then Bruno was always my least favourite by far of his trio of characters on his HBO show. What I don't understand is why he didn't do an Ali G. movie instead.

Yeah it's not very well known. If you're a fan it's hysterical, highly recommended if you are one!

Unlike the HBO show and Brüno (2009), Ali G Indahouse (2002) is completely scripted.

I really liked Borat, but the ending just went flat for me. It became a bit tedious at the end with the acting and the one highlight with Pamela's scene wasn't even funny.

Bruno was hysterical the entire way for me. I saw it in theaters opening weeekend and then I rewatched it a second time last night (I've been wanting to rewatch it for the last couple years). It was just as hilarious as it was in the theater and the second time around. In fact, I picked up a few other laughs I missed the first time in theaters.

Bruno is easily funnier than Borat in my opinion, but Borat is a special kind of subversive comedy. Bruno is a little on the brash side for most people. And The Dictator? I really hated that movie.

I think as a whole, Borat's character was much funnier in the Ali G Show than the actual movie. On the contrary, Bruno's character was kind of dull in the Ali G Show, but hysterical in the movie.
