i was wondering about that too! i dont know if that was real, or if they got some actors for that one, because those guys could've killed him or hurt him really bad. and if he walked through the middle of palestine dressed as a jew, it was unneccessary provocation! i know he was trying to be funny, but i don't think he actually realised the reality of the situation there.

I don't know what they were saying but it wasn't anything nice. They chased him because he was an insult to their orthodox lifestyle. They would have seriously hurt him and possibly killed him had they caught him. In Hebrew he yelled, "I'm a Jew!" which only made them more furious that he would act and dress that way. Listen to the commentary by Cohen and the director to get full story.

A far worse provocation is making a mockery religion near ultra orthodox rabbis in the middle of Jerusalem. Gay clubs in Jerusalem have been bombed by Rabbis routinely near Jerusalem.

That guy looked like a rabbi but who was that guy running next to him? looked like he was a crew member (he is wearing a baseball cap and seems to be carrying a camera.

i also liked the "Hava Nagila (Club Mix)" music in that scene

There was an interview with Sacha given...forgive me but I don't know where it is, but he knows a little Hebrew and I think he said they were saying "Kill him", which is why he ran like hell.

I think Orthodox Jews would be extremely offended by his dress and general demeanor, they are very religious so they found his outfit offensive...

Good question...but all the religious bashers in Eastern Europe and North America, need to wake-up and take a look at the Middle East.
