why wear the blast suit?

Why do they wear the blast suit when it doesn't even protect them from blast waves?

It does do you remember the last bomb? The guy with the best who died...the suit saved JR...usually with those suits it's not the blast that kills you (depending on where you are) it's the shrapnel

It's much better to be knocked back in one piece than torn limb from limb. That's why the blast suit. It also reduces the radius between the blast sight (ground zero) and safe protection. Remember that being knocked back from blast waves are the actual sound waves. The suits protect from shrapnel

Why did Thompson even bother to go check on the trailer for the robot? So the trailer fell ofF? Big deal let it fall off, when before that happened you had no intention of going closer and when you did you did something that wasn't eseential to stopping the bomb.
