Osbourne Cox's confusion about "Why is Olson here?" I didn't really get that joke. And I feel kinda dumb for not understanding. I have a theory but I'm not sure if it's right. Someone please explain.

Olsen is Human Resources I am thinking. Or a Union. Or Conflict Resolution.

So Cox didn't realize he was about to get semi-fired, he thought it was just a typical meeting. Olsen's presence was foreshadowing that the meeting wasn't what he thought it was.

My take is that it doesn't really matter, what matters is that Cox is very annoyed by his presence! We don't know, maybe he's human resources, maybe he's from some office that conducts internal investigations. What matters is that Olson has a "reputation" and that his presence annoys Cox.
