the cinematography
Did anyone feel that the Coen Brothers let up the reins a little in terms of the cinematography? Usually their shots are tighter, more attuned to the surrounding symmetry of the worlds they're creating which gives their films a feeling of cerebral distance. It's one of the qualities I enjoy most about a Coen Brothers movie. I felt like they purposefully created a more relaxed feeling here in terms their framing choices. Maybe they went for a style they knew the average movie goer would find more appealing, or less jarring? Does anyone see what I see, or am I just imagining things?
