Good show

I enjoy watching it, i learn a few things from it. I find it entertaining as well!
Yeah, it is obvious that some of the things are set up, but i don't care!

And yes, he does acknowledge that he is not alone, he constantly tells his crew to 'watch out' 'be carefull' and 'wait here'!

Lets face it, some of the things he says can help you, and i am sure that if you are lost in the middle of nowhere, you would be glad to have him around to help ya out!

But of all the survival shows, Ray Mears survival shows are fantastic, he basically gets to the point, tells storys of survival, what they did and should have done/not done in that situation!

You may also say about Bear, he has a support crew where ever he goes? well so what, you wouldn't purposly get lost in the middle of nowhere for a tv show. Even that survivor man dude would have a support crew somewhere and they will know exactly where he is at all times, for saftey concerns!

You don't get it.

the problem with the set up situations is that they were mostly played out as if they were "lucky coincidences" and discovering that those were set up is a bit disappointing. Especially when you had Bear going on about how lucky he ws to catch the fish (that one of the crew guys caught earlier and now he's re-enacting the catch).

And yes, he does acknowledge that he is not alone, he constantly tells his crew to 'watch out' 'be carefull' and 'wait here'!

He always had the crew on site. What they "didn't" do was interfere with Bear's survival. Not getting him food for him to eat, not helping him to build his shelters, etc. The crew was supposed to be there to observe and record Bear's exploits in order to survive.
Lets face it, some of the things he says can help you, and i am sure that if you are lost in the middle of nowhere, you would be glad to have him around to help ya out!

Some of the things he says and does are too risky and can cause injuries or death. Most of his climbing up and down through the rough terrain is extremely risky and should not be done. I'd rather have Ray Mears or Les Stroud than Bear in a survival situation. (Bear is a fun guy and all that, but he is a bit reckless.)

You may also say about Bear, he has a support crew where ever he goes? well so what, you wouldn't purposly get lost in the middle of nowhere for a tv show. Even that survivor man dude would have a support crew somewhere and they will know exactly where he is at all times, for saftey concerns!

The difference of the Survivorman crew and Man vs Wild crew is simple:
MvW: Crew on-site, as in with Bear.
Survivorman: Crew is a few miles away for safety reasons.
This changes how things are played out. With a crew on site there is not that depressing sense of isolation that being alone in the wild can cause. Being able to talk to another human being helps you keep your cool a bit more than being completely alone. That'sa why Bear seems to be so cheery compared to Les, who seems to be kinda grumpy at times. (I'm not counting the Carrying the camera equipment isuues affecting Mr. Stroud's mood here.)

The show is good and entertaining. It also offers some advice that's good. The problem is sorting through a lot of crap to get to the good nuggets of knowledge.

I can't wait for Michael Bay to direct Care Bears. Using real bears so it can be more realistic.
