Bothers me more and more...
I definitely do enjoy watching this show. It's entertaining and can be useful if you filter the bits out that actually make sense in a survival situation. BUT... after watching Dual Survival the lack of warning regarding taking risks in Man vs Wild really started bothering me. I guess those who died because they tried stuff they saw on the show, well, they didn't live to tell. XD In the latest episode he drinks stale water through a filter. This is not going to filter out the really dangerous stuff! In Dual Survival they make a big fuss about things like that and rightfully so. Yet, no mention of that in Man vs Wild. In Dual Survival they make sure to say when they made a mistake or when they did something that you should never try in a real survival situation. While in Man vs Wild you are constantly encouraged to take unnecessary risks that can kill anyone who is not an experienced climber/madman/someone who has a guy with a camera with night vision with him like Bear.
I dunno. I guess it is Man vs Wild for entertainment and Dual Survival for actual information and the right mindset if you actually want to survive.
